Good Morning from Dublin - Day 2

Yesterday afternoon 3 Blue Wavers braved the practice, but most chose to catch up on well needed sleep. This morning, while many of you were watching the 11:00 news (Friday night), your kids were waking up for their 5:30AM Saturday morning practice. When they arrived at the New Park facility, they found a pool quite different than back at BSAC. The New Park facility features a 5 lane, 25 meter pool - 5 very narrow lanes. The water temperature was a very warm 86 degrees, and most of our kids found it a bit too warm. Even with this, Blue Wave practiced extremely hard and represented the team very well.

Later on this afternoon, Blue Wave will have another 2 hour practice at a 50 meter pool in another part of town. This evening we are meeting back at the New Park facility for a Pizza Party with the Trojan Team and the host families. Everyone of the kids that I have spoken to has been having a great time with their host families. I suspect there are more lifelong friendships being forged.

The weather has been beautiful. It is very cool in the mornings, but it warms up to a refreshing 50 degrees. It has been sunny for the past two days, but there are rumors of the "s" word for tomorrow. YES, for many of our kids, they may have their first experience with seeing snow.

Well, thats about it for now. We are off to take a short walk around Dun Loaghaire. Take care!

The pictures are awesome Dean! I know everyone here in the States greatly appreciates seeing them and reading about what's going on. Tell Allison her Mom and Dad say "hey". Thanks again.
